A Day of Community and Natural Beauty

Pink cherry blossoms, swaying willow branches, white daisy dotted lawns, blue skies, and snow covered mountains… it’s  spring  time in Vancouver.

On April 18, 2009 in picturesque Queen’s Elizabeth Park, nearly a hundred Puti Meditation practitioners and their families got together to celebrate the warming season.

The day started with young and old taking a relaxing walk through the park. After lunch, there were various games and activities in the sun. Interesting, and often hilarious, contests took over the afternoon: there was a “crab-crawl competition,”   a “three-legged race,” a “jump rope contest”, and a “ping-pong bat challenge.” Of course, as meditation practitioners, most also took the opportunity to practice the Meditation of Greater Illumination and Bagua, two principle practices of Puti Meditation.

It was a day of games and laughter, and even bystanders were drawn in by the contagious fun, joining some of the games.

This event was organized and sponsored by the Canada Bodhi Dharma Society. The Society would like to express its gratitude to all the volunteers who made this day possible.
