Buddhist Robe New Edition Published

Back

To celebrate the 17th anniversary of Master Jin Bodhi's public instruction, a new edition of Buddhist Robe (Jia Sha) was published in Taipei on August 3rd, 2008. Since the first edition of Buddhist Robe was published we have received positive feedback from all over the world. There were many stories of personal struggles endured by the readers that came in the forms of disease, disaster, and personal conflict. Some readers expressed a keen interest in the Bodhi Dharma, some have shared how they were inspired by the book, and many simply wished to share their gratitude to Master JinBodhi.

To our great joy, Buddhist Robe has helped many readers to heal their physical and emotional traumas. Readers have reported miracles that they attribute to reading the book. Some smelled sandalwood from the pages, some got healing assistance and inspirations from Master in dreams, some insomnia patients enjoyed sound sleeps with the book tuckled under the pillows, some seniors could read the book clearly without the help of glasses, some found the pain in stomache, head, back and knees released, and even some expereinced spontaneous fasting for a number of days or as long as a month. Many readers are able to apply the teachings to daily life, to establish new goals to live, to help people in need, to serve the society, and to create a bright and enlightened life.

In the last four years since the publishing of the book, the Bodhi Dharma Society has grown rapidly around the world. The Vancouver branch is showing positive growth in Canada. People in California naturally gravitate towards the meditation courses offered by the Los Angeles branch. The Korean branch is expanding successfully, and has been attracting more practitioners. The Singaporean branch has been participating in every accesible event. This year Master JinBodhi is going to Taiwan to offer his blessings to an extended audience.

On August 10, 2005, in the first Puti Meditation and Fitness Class held in Vancouver, Canada, a significant event took place unexpectedly. In his meditative state, Master JinBodhi traveled to Oriental Pure Land, Medicine Buddha's land. He believed that was the world he came from. The land was said to be pure blue and transparent, and the whole world was peaceful, natural, pure, and beautiful, in ways words could not describe.

"I wish when I am enlightened afterlife, I would be shining the countless boundless worlds with my own bright light."(the first of the twelve vows by Medicine Buddha) Master JinBodhi patiently and consistantly teaches us to become a compassionate, kind, and altruistic people. We have not only benefited from the Meditation of Greater Illumination, but have also received the great energy from Master. With the help of the energy, we have gained the ability to help healing people in a short time. Master is leading us to manifest in this lifetime Medicine Buddha's twelve vows. He gives ability to those who need it. He heals those who are ill or hurt. He brightens the hearts of those who live in darkness. With his compassionate guidance, we are able to practice his teachings in helping people day after day, to follow his footprints on the path to enlightement. This is a rare opportunity to follow Master JinBodhi. We commit our lives to free from pain and suffering to pursue happiness. This is the best Dharma to gain enlightenment.

In the interest of reaching a broader spectrum of people who share the path to enlightenment, the new edition of Buddhist Robe is published with some revision. You will find the new book easier to read, and we hope that the book will bring you more convenience and greater benefit.

Lastly, we sincerely thank all the friends for your strong support, commitment, and consistant love. We wish you all health, happiness, and enlightenment.
