First Free Meditation and Fitness Retreat Program Completed

The first free Meditation and Fitness Retreat Program has come to a close. Students reported significant improvements in mental and physical health after twelve days of intensive meditation practice. Many students starting from places of doubt, are now so pleased with their progress that they intend to spread the word, encouraging friends and relatives to participate. Some students are now College volunteers.
After the Canada Bodhi Dharma Society decided to offer free courses and retreat programs for the latter half of 2006, meditation enthusiasts and practitioners have helped us spread the news: the October Retreat reached maximum enrollment very quickly. Despite the course being free, student dedication was high—dropout rate was only one percent throughout the program.
The December Meditation & Fitness Retreat Program is already full, and enrolment for the February 2007 Program is near capacity as well.
